Weekly Hours: 35
Apple is a home for phenomenal people, the kind of people who use their passion, creativity, and resourcefulness to build products that change lives! It’s a place where you’re encouraged to be your truest self, a place where you can work on your life’s best work! Join the team who made contactless purchases effortless, the ones who brought the simplicity of Apple to the credit card, the ones who most recently turned your iPhone and Apple Watch into a car key — and much more. Join the Apple Pay team. The Apple Pay Partner Engineering team is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our growing group. We are looking for an engineering manager with a high level of technical acumen and experience designing, building and running diverse product lines and types of infrastructure. That’s where you come in.
Experience leading teams of partner engaging engineers.
Prior work experience architecting, implementing or running large scale developer and customer facing services.
Ability to optimally communicate and collaborate with a broad group of people, including engineers, project managers, business stakeholders, and third-party partners.
Comfort engaging at all levels of a company from engineers to executives.
Dedication to solving problems and sharing solutions.
Passion for quality, design, and user experience.
You are involved from the beginning as new products and services are invented inside of Apple Pay. Your team is leading the Apple Pay organisation through the shift to a self-service partner onboarding attitude. To achieve true scale, your team identifies and articulates the platform strategy to onboard efficiently through many phases (business, legal, engineering, launch, operations, reliability, marketing and beyond). The team does this in a way that empowers our partners. Your team performs due diligence on external companies being considered for new product design partnerships, and is responsible for extending the reach of existing products through additional partnerships. It starts with product-agnostic due diligence. Whether transit, payments, access or something new, the team vets the quality and capabilities of potential technology and Fintech partners across categories such as infrastructure, reliability, people and process. From there, your team leads product-specific due diligence by aligning on product use cases and working through API specifications, MSDs, edge cases, error handling and retry scenarios, leaving no opportunity for ambiguity or misunderstandings between Apple and the companies during later stages of integration. At the end of due diligence, you will have a high degree of confidence that partners both understand and are capable of implementing at the level of quality required by Apple. The output of due diligence is detailed, and knowledge is transferred to the rest of the organisation, which then takes the partners through integration, launch and ongoing.
Education & Experience
Whether you have a traditional CS degree, or learned some other way, we’d love to talk.
