The Corus Hotel Hyde Park is a Four-Star hotel with 389 bedrooms and 3 meeting rooms. It is the flagship hotel of the company which overlooks and provides scenic views of the well known and loved Hyde Park. The Hotel is located in a busy and vibrant area which is closely situated to many of London’s most prominent and visited areas such as Bond Street, Park Lane and Notting Hill.
We are part of Corus Hotels, a successful privately owned company with 6 hotels across the country.
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Corus Hotel Hyde Park as Front of House Manager.
The successful applicant for this role will be able to demonstrate they have lead a team to provide excellent service that exceeds our customer’s expectations, can work within budget and within tight timescales. The Front of House Manager will manage and coordinate the daily operations of the reception, concierge and Night Team and maximise the standard and quality of the department.
Key responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:
To take responsibility for the service standards of front of house team to ensure total guest satisfaction.
To encourage, train and develop the team, to ensure that all legal and company standards are being met.
To carry out Duty Management shifts as required
To ensure that all sales enquiries are dealt with in a proactive manner, and converted to confirmed bookings, to the agreed company standards.
To ensure that the chase system is updated and utilised for all live enquiries, existing clients and potential new business.
Ensure team is aware of FOH procedures, implement training where necessary
To liase with GM regarding rate policies and to manage availability/rates on distribution channels
To convert business and generate sales through showrounds and ‘Fam Trips’
Identify market trends and co-ordinate sales activities accordingly.
We’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, delegate instructions, has a desire to provide exceptional customer service and is able to motive and lead a high performance team.
The Front of House Manager should have previous experience in working in Hotels. You will be a hardworking person who endeavours to always give 100%. The right person should be well presented, be calm be able to think quickly under pressure. You must be able to think and act on your own initiative and have excellent customer service skills. You must be able to manage and train the Front of House Team. You must be flexible in your hours including weekend shifts.
