Role Purpose:
Fortnum & Mason are looking for an International Account Manager to join the Fortnum’s Family! The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for managing key client accounts, including operations, finance and customer service to ensure maximum brand consistency and sales optimisation with existing clients.
Key Accountabilities:
Assist the Head of International in managing the critical path within the business in relation to International to ensure that agreed timelines are met regarding product presentations, pricing and sample availability to ensure on-time presentation to clients.
Assist the Head of International in defining sales conditions with new clients including order minima, payment terms, exclusivity etc.
Propose product assortments from the business ranges, in line with regional preferences, and produce price lists maximizing margins.
Ensure New Product opportunities are maximized in each market throughout the year.
Collaborate with Marketing and Visual Merchandising Teams to support new product launches and enhance the brand.
Forecast customers’ sales and report on performance to Head of International.
Provide monthly forecasts to the International Supply Planner to maximize order fulfilment, optimise stock levels and shelf life. If customer forecasts not available to assist with this, use all other available information available to ensure most accurate forecasts possible.
Manage the intake of customer orders on-time and manage communication with clients about despatches.
Liaise with the International Assistant and liaise with Technical Support for all export procedures, product registrations and food labelling.
Closely work with the International Assistant in relation to invoicing and debt.
Report into the Head of International weekly on sales status against budget and all operational issues.
Build relationships with the wider business teams including sharing information in the weekly report.
Provide the Head of International with monthly up-date reports for Board meetings.
Visit key markets as and when required
Ensure Distribution Centre is up to date at all times on labelling requirements by customer
We expect the successful candidate to have the following skills and experience:
Self-driven, well-organised and resilient
Numerate, financially astute, high level of Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, adept at interacting with people at all levels and cultures
Able to manage own workload and that of a team with excellent time organization skills
Able to work to tight deadlines and work flexibly.
