Full Job Description
Medical Physics provides expert advice and assistance on medical device issues to staff including senior management at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
This includes providing scientific and engineering input to equipment management, clinical measurement, device development and device related research. The post holder will assist with medical device management across the Trust by contributing to optimal procurement- and, where called upon, other activities (including activities relating to device- training, use, maintenance, safety, disposal, associated assurance measures and record keeping).
In particular, they will support the delivery of the Medical Equipment Capital Programme, working to meet the technical and administrative challenges posed by capital Medical Equipment procurement. This means using ingenuity, problem-solving and communication skills, alongside technical understanding, to deliver the technologies that often defines services in our Trust.
The candidates we seek will be qualified to degree or equivalent level in a relevant subject, with previous experience demonstrating responsibility for a project, procurement, service element or small team.
