Full Job Description
Holiday Inn Express Bodmin – Victoria Junction is a 71 bedroomed hotel, located at Cornwall Services.
We have 2 meeting rooms and serve a complimentary breakfast with selected hot items to all of our guests. During the daytime, we serve a limited menu and, in the evening a more substantial offering for our guests. The hotel is the first Holiday Inn Express in Cornwall and is built to the latest Generation 4 design standards for the brand. Due to the easing of lockdown, we are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Guest Services Supervisor to help lead the front of house and kitchen team. Interviews to be held onsite in a Covid 19 secure manner with all hygiene protocols in place.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
Check-in and check out of guests
Dealing with guest queries and requests to their satisfaction
Ensuring that the front desk operates correctly to hotel and brand standards
Ensure that the bar is fully stocked and operating to the correct standards
Involvement with the ordering of food and liquor stock, and other items such as stationery
Assisting with training and development to ensure the Guest Services team has sufficient confidence to carry out their tasks and responsibilities effectively and to the maximum guest satisfaction.
Ensure that all areas are kept clean, tidy and immaculately presentable at all times
Analyse guest feedback and react accordingly with both positive and negative comments
Promote the hotel’s award-winning loyalty programme, IHG Rewards.
Ensure that all food orders leave the kitchen in a timely manner and give help and support in the kitchen where needed
Ensure that all accidents and incidents are recorded correctly
Complete Duty Manager shifts as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience working within hotels is preferred for this role. This is a full-time role, working flexible shifts (days/evenings/weekends/), 5 days a week out of 7. You will report to the hotel Guest Services Manager
