Full Job Description
Islington Council is looking for enthusiastic, creative and hard-working communications and content officers to join our communications team.

We’re determined to make Islington fairer and create a place where everyone has the same opportunity to reach their potential and enjoy a good quality of life. Our busy comms team is at the heart of our work to build a fairer future as we face the challenges of Covid-19.

You will be responsible for devising compelling content for bulletins and social media, creating engaging videos, helping to transform the council’s website to improve residents’ experience, as well as ensuring our corporate website and microsites are up-to-date, user-focused and accessible. You will also contribute to offline content, including the council’s quarterly print magazine, boroughwide mailings and poster campaigns.

You will have strong communications skills and creativity, be well organised, have bags of initiative and enjoy working to tight deadlines. As part of our skilled and supportive communications team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of exciting projects and campaigns.
