About the role
As we continue to scale our company, we are looking to grow our Business Development and Sales team. We are looking for people who know how to tell a story and make an impact. We are talking self-starting professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, process information quickly and make intelligent decisions. The work is challenging and requires not only smarts but natural curiosity, tenacity and passion. Teamwork is also important to us – we work together and have fun together.
You will be responsible for selling and promoting Jigsaw XYZ’s products and services and procuring new revenue streams for the company. The position requires experience in finding new clients, cultivating relationships, listening to the client’s needs and ultimately closing deals. Your understanding of software sales and delivery, particularly within a Financial Services setting will be advantageous.
We expect you to bring your expert knowledge of the Fintech market and relationships with transformative companies in the sector and use that to open up new opportunities for Jigsaw XYZ. You will be working closely with our CEO and the founding team but you will also be expected to interact with all levels within the company to gain an overall understanding of the products we offer and how they were developed.
What you will be responsible for
Participate in strategic planning to develop revenue projections and actively engage in contract negotiations
Build, develop and manage our in-house sales team – ideally, you have done this before
Increase the tempo of new client acquisition by building a sustainable sales pipeline and decrease the length of the sales cycle
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual quotas; analyze data and metrics; assess performance and ensure the company achieves our targets
Promote and represent the company by participating in industry events and trade shows
Establish a trusted/strategic advisor relationship with clients and drive continued value of our products and services
Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the existing client base, Identify feature enhancements to our product through customer interaction
Promote, maintain and enhance our cultural values of comradery, passion, inclusion and leadership and help enforce a culture where mental wellbeing sits at the forefront
Display a strong passion for learning our products and markets through in-house and external training and be willing to learn as well as teach and offer guidance to more junior employees
What We Require
5 to 10 years of relevant experience with SaaS or direct B2B high-tech solutions
3 to 5 years of sales leadership with an emphasis on building out a team
Track record of successfully scaling a profitable, worldwide sales organisation; experience working within high-growth organisations
Prior responsibility for forecasting revenue, associated costs, direct and indirect sales goals
Experience working in a high growth, entrepreneurial company
Experience selling software and/or platform solutions into new markets and across all channels direct; inside sales; partners; and strategic alliances
Experience with product launch; strategic and product marketing a plus
Full appreciation for marketing-driven demand generation and experience leveraging marketing automation
Knowledge of marketplaces and digital banking platforms is a plus
Our expectation is that you will self-generate leads, so an existing book of contacts is a plus
