Network Control Manager – Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre
Salary: £36,186 per annum, with a bonus potential of up to 10% and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

As Network Control Manager, you will be responsible for the input and intervention in the delivery of the international export linehaul plan for Royal Mail International and Parcel Force products during days of operation, using foresight to employ, implement and commincate contingency plans in place when there is an unforeseen deviation from plan.
You will be responsible for supporting the complex network conveyance of over 200 tonnes of international mail daily, that involve flights and road services operated by third parties.
About the role
You will have accountability for ensuring that the short term international linehaul plan for Royal Mail and Parcel Force Worldwide products is delivered during the days of operation and making any changes as necessary to ensure successful delivery. You will deploy appropriate contingency plans to respond to unforeseen issues, such as Channel Tunnel closures, or airport closures / delays due to weather issues.
By working with Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre operations and key suppliers, you will maximise international vehicle loading utilisation to meet target levels. Your role will be to ensure all stakeholders are appropriately briefed on short term changes to plan.
You will plan recoveries for traffic failing to connect to international flights and road services by working with airlines and haulier networks, Airport Mail Units and the Gateway team. Additionally, you will optimise conveyance allocations to reduce shut outs and make daily allocation changes as required.
Shift Times – Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm-8pm. Please note, flexibility will be required in this role.
With thorough knowledge of international mail and parcel products, you will have a strong background in Logistics and Transport.
You will be confident in managing numerous and unique challenges, with strong problem-solving skills, excellent judgement as a self-starter.
Working with third party external stakeholders in the International Distribution environment, your communication skills will be excellent and you will be proactive.
Your Microsoft Excel knowledge will be strong. Ideally, you will hold a CPC in transport management.
