About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Social Media, the YouTube Manager will help ideate, plan and execute our YouTube strategies across our portfolio of own brands; Illamasqua, Eyeko, Grow Gorgeous, Christophe Robin, Perricone MD, ESPA, Ameliorate, Mama Mio and Mio. At THG, we encourage and promote growth and exploration within your role and as such, the below gives only a summary of the role remit:
Take overall creative and technical ownership of social platforms, specifically YouTube
Develop the overall organic YouTube strategy, working closely with social, brand, paid social, content and SEO team to ensure best practise
Utilise your own knowledge and share best practise of YouTube with teams across the division
Oversee creative channel development including research, content creation, execution and reporting
Stay up to date with wider digital and social industry trends and act as key point of contact for YouTube within the team
Responsibilities
Run and manage several YouTube accounts end-to-end, ideation to execution, for the Beauty Brands division
Ideate and plan YouTube help, hub and hero content and organise the content calendar for the channel
Manage the channel budget
Work closely with Head of Social Media to set the overarching long term strategy for the YouTube channel
Liaise with social team to cross-promote the YouTube channel in fun and engaging ways for each specific social platform
Liaise with brand team to incorporate YouTube channel content with brand campaigns and new product launches/campaigns
Liaise with influencer team to identify and activate the right talent for the channel
Liaise with paid social team to promote the channel through VDAs
Work with paid social team to remove product ads from the organic channel and increase average view time for the channel
Liaise with content and SEO teams to ensure all copy, titles and metadata is full optimised for YouTube search
Work with Studios creative teams to ensure channel design is optimised and on brand
Work with Studios social video and production teams to ensure all video is edited correctly for the YouTube channel
Work with PR team to ensure brand building YouTube content is carefully and strategically placed with media partners to increase overall reach and traffic to the YouTube channel
Work with brand and commercial teams to sell space and sponsorships for brand-building content
Report channel growth in a clear, concise way for non-social-native teams to understand how the channel can grow
Be the point of contact for all things YouTube, including industry movements and trends as well as platform features
KPI’s
Grow channel subscriber base
Grow channel average view time
Grow channel engagement
Ensure channel Impressions CTR remains between 2-10% as a minimum
Requirements
Experience running a YouTube channel – camera-facing and under the hood
Excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Attention to detail and good organisation skills
Demonstrate a clear passion for the beauty industry, inclusivity and social media
